Hay formas (poco gratificantes) de cómo los lectores llegan a una página Web en Internet. Una forma, la más aleatoria, es SPAM, cuando se hace una búsqueda en un servicio como Google. Alguien busca 'fotos de minifaldas', y en los resultados aparece este Web. No es que mi Web sea de carácter pornográfico o contenga fotos de minifaldas, es sólo que el buscador se las ingenia para unir palabras (fotos + minifaldas) y arroja resultados, que también tienen que ver con la frecuencia que ciertas páginas son actualizadas.

Some people may ask themselves why I don’t write about my everyday life. The reason is that my everyday life is kind of monotonous and routine. Work and family (kids), that is it. I don’t go out as much as before. Some of it has to do that I tire more often (my workday is hectic). So that is a big reason why I don’t incorporate everyday life here. You need to go out and experience life, do things, go places, meet people, in order to have material for writings. And that is not happening right now.

Talking with a friend at a party, he told me about how the Mexican government had sent some scientists from UNAM to the border crossing at San Ysidro, to inspect whether the continuous exposure to those new metal detectors (which emit gamma rays & x-rays, allegedly) can cause serious damage to people crossing there. It would be very interesting to know the results of those tests.

I had and interesting MSN chat, to say the least, with a poet from Tijuana. She was telling me that she knew little of weblogs, and that she had only read one, that being the weblog of Paty Blake, a Tijuana poet too. As the conversation grew, she asked me if I knew of some interesting websites that I could recommend to her. I told her that my daily reading only extended to weblogs, and that newspapers had become tiresome to me. She did not take that comment lightly. She quickly retorted saying that she prefers newspapers, because there lay the true writers or intellectuals of our time. I then remembered given her my weblog to read; maybe she came out with a sense of boredom as me with newspapers. I guess there are alternatives for everybody. But we can’t diminish the importance or relevance that weblogs have acquired in today’s popular culture, even if a poet from Tijuana doesn’t seem to agree.

Cuando se casó con su amada novia, entendió que debía aceptar a la familia de ella como la suya, pero eso también incluía aceptar los amigos de ella, los amigos de los amigos, los allegados, los conocidos, los vecinos, los parientes de los vecinos. En muchos casos, en condiciones normales, ese tipo de 'nuevas relaciones' no hubieran congeniado. Son relaciones producto de algo que no se puede controlar. Entran a la vida y ahí están.

Hay un tipo de censura más tajante aun. Esta es cuando se omite expresar una opinión acerca de algo que se ha experimentado. Ese tipo de censura rebasa el límite de la buena voluntad y se esconde en la hipocresía. Es una censura que denota el grado de antipatía que sentimos hacia algo o alguien. Preferimos callar, en lugar de decirle lo que pensamos. Es también una forma de ajuste de cuentas. Tú me hiciste eso, yo te hago esto.
