Feliz Navidad. Que las bendiciones sean de buen nivel.

Mindfulness in Plain English

01
Go to a party. Listen to the laughter, that brittle-tongues voice that says fun on the surface and fear underneath. Feel the tension, feel the pressure. Nobody really relaxes. They are faking it.
02
Go to a ball game. Watch the fans in the stands. Watch the irrational fit of anger. Watch the uncontrolled frustration bubbling forth that masquerades under the guise of enthusiasm or team spirit. Booing, catcalls and unbridled egotism in the name of team loyalty. Drunkenness, fights in the stands. These are people trying desperately to release tension from within. These are not people who are at peace with themselves.
03
Watch the news on TV. Listen to the lyrics in popular songs. You find the same theme repeated over and over in variations. Jealousy, suffering, discontent, and stress.
04
Life seems to be a perpetual struggle, some enormous effort against staggering odds. And what is our solution to all this dissatisfaction? We get stuck in the if only syndrome.

the more your dear of other people

Rather than becoming more relaxed

Build The Awareness Habit

Start building the awareness habit: STOP and PAY ATTENTION. Set an intention to become aware of how you automatically react to different things in your life.

For example, how do you react to the alarm clock, the shower, traffic, work colleagues and situations, your partner or children? How do you react to anger or fear in someone else? How do you react to your own anger or fear? Become a witness to your own life.

Pay attention to how you do things.

No sé.

Varias melodías comerciales y unas no tanto (In the flat field, The passion of lovers, Kick in the eye, In fear of fear, She's in parties, Dark Entries, Rose garden funeral of sores, etc), pero siempre falta una (Spirit, Third uncle, Double dare, All we ever wanted was everything, etc).

No faltó el encore de Bela Lugosi's dead, Telegraph Sam (Incluso Slice of life).

SLICE OF LIFE

Her gaze hit the side of mine
So I opened it out
To destroy what you thought was difference

So I lied to you once again
So I painted over you once again
So I die before you once again
’what’s the difference’

Come clearly where the flavour is
Seen here in black and white
You’ve got two seconds baby boy
In burning light white light
’what’s the difference’

Clear up what you are
Burn out these eyes
Rip up this place and scream
’i am your slice of life’ (four times)

Shivering under lamposts
Shivering under glass
Your standing on charisma again
God knows it cannot last
’what’s the difference’

Ice inside your body
Blood inside your soul

Yet still twelve faces stand around
Hugging your skinny bones
’what’s the difference’

So clear up what you are
Burn out these eyes, rip up this place and scream
’i am your slice of life’ (four times)

And the car opened him up to so much more
And the money is brighter with a wider smile
And the problem expands inside your head

’i am your slice of life’

Adios a Saramago

No sé si sea buena esa postura.

Somebody at one of these places asked me: "What do you do? How do you write, create?" You don't, I told them. You don't try. That's very important: not to try, either for Cadillacs, creation or immortality. You wait, and if nothing happens, you wait some more. It's like a bug high on the wall. You wait for it to come to you. When it gets close enough you reach out, slap out and kill it. Or if you like it's looks, you make a pet out of it.

Nunca sentí vergüenza

Sobre mi escritura
siento una especie de pudor
que me lleva a expresarme
en esa forma parecida al poema

Parece que así
todo es más confuso
y se me hace más cómodo

Recurrir a los poemas
es como bajar la luz
desnudarse

Una manera de atreverse
al fin y al cabo
pero escondiéndose
un poquito

No sé
supongo que sentirme escritora
es lo que en el fondo
todavía me hace avergonzarme

Nunca terminé de creérmelo

si nunca nos sentamos
a observar lo que
sentimos

Se vuelve luego

olvidarse a uno mismo
